Signal relays with up to 2Amps loads are relays that can control or switch 2A electrical currents. The SR223SMT01 is a particularly versatile miniature signal relay manufactured by Multicomp. This relay is designed for various applications, mainly in computerized and automated systems. The SR223SMT01 features a compact package size, low profile, and high contact reliability. Low input power consumption makes it an ideal choice for cost-sensitive applications.The SR223SMT01 is designed with 4 pins and is Switched by single coil (CO). It has an initial contact resistance less than 120mΩ, and a switching voltage of up to 250VAC/28VDC. The SR223SMT01 has a dielectric strength of between 500VAC for 5s or 1000VAC peak. Additionally, its contact ratings are 2A/1A@250VAC and 0.5A/200mA/60VDC.The SR223SMT01 is used in applications like HVAC and lighting control, auto control, telecommunication, domestic appliances, and computer peripherals. It is known to be highly reliable, with a mechanical life of up to 1,000,000 operations and an electrical life of up to 50,000 operations at full load.The working principle of the SR223SMT01 is based on electromagnetic induction. Once electricity is removed from the coil, the armature is released, and the contacts no longer provide a connection.
