The SRC4192IDBR is one of the latest audio special purpose processors that was designed by Intersil Corporation. This processor is capable of providing high performance signal processing capabilities with the benefits of an integrated multi-channel audio signal processing platform.
The SRC4192IDBR application field and working principle enable it to be used for a variety of audio signal processing tasks, such as boosting or cutting audio levels, real-time acoustic signal filtering and noise reduction, and providing four-band parametric equalization and loudness compensation for home audio or professional studio applications. Equipped with an integrated Bessel filter providing linear-phase response with no ringing, the SRC4192IDBR provides high performance, low power consumption and wide dynamic range.
The SRC4192IDBR has two distinct working principles. First, it incorporates the use of multi-channel audio signal processing, where it specifically utilizes the benefits of parallel and serial audio processing. This approach allows for multi-channel processing and audio mixing, as well as individual signal processing on separate channels. The second principle is an integrated filter platform, which allows the SRC4192IDBR to be used with filter algorithms such as biquads and Bessel filters, which are necessary for acoustic signal processing. This integrated platform also allows the SRC4192IDBR to be used with digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms used for loudness compensation and real-time filtering.
