Working principle
SRF1650C0G is composed of two diodes per element, a cathode anode, and a common anode. The two diodes switch rapidly between the on and off states. When the current passes through the anode, one diode receives the current while the other remains closed. In the reverse direction, the other diode is conducting.
When the current passes through the cathode, the device opens and conducts current. When the voltage applied to the cathode rises above the given threshold, the diodes will “turn-on”, sending the current through the anode. This resultant current is larger than the opposite current.
In a rectifier circuit, SRF1650C0G works as a bridge rectifier. The anode and cathode are separated by either a full-wave or a half-wave diode. In a full-wave rectifier, the voltage is switched both directions and the rectified current is emitted from the anode when the diode conducts.
