Working Principle:

The SS-10-2D1 Snap Action Limit Switches is composed of two parts: the actuator and the switch contact. The actuator, which is a plunger-shaped component, moves along a spring when the external force is applied. The actuator makes contact with the switch contact as it pushes against the spring. When the actuator is released, the spring will push the actuator back to its original position, breaking the contact with the switch. This action causes a snapping sound which is audible and helps to confirm the switch status.

When the switch is in the ‘On’ position, the actuator pushes against the spring which forces the switch contact against the contact plate. This creates the connection between the contact plate and the switch contact.
