Introduction
LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are becoming increasingly popular as replacements for traditional lighting sources, such as incandescent lamps, halogen lamps and fluorescent lamps, due to their energy efficiency, long lifetime and small size. In this article, we will discuss the application field and working principle of one of the popular LED lighting sources, SSP-1156B156U12.SSP-1156B156U12 Application Field
SSP-1156B156U12 is a medium power LED lamp with a rated power of 12W and a luminous flux of 1250lm. It is suitable for downlight, spotlights, outdoor wall lights and other replacing lamps of 50W incandescent lamps. It is able to replace up to 40W tungsten halogen lamps and gives off a crisp white light similar to daylight.SSP-1156B156U12 Working Principle
The SSP-1156B156U12 LED is constructed using a complex combination of different materials. At the heart of the device is a semiconductor, usually gallium arsenide phosphide (GaAsP). The semiconductor is comprised of an N-type layer topped with a P-type layer. An N-type layer has a surplus of electrons, and a P-type layer has an abundance of electron holes. When a voltage is applied to the structure, it causes electrons to migrate from the N-type layer to the P-type layer. As electrons fill the electron holes, photons are released. This is known as electroluminescence in a process of radiative recombination. The colour of the light is determined by the energy-level gap of the semiconductor material. SSP-1156B156U12 use an additional optical element – a lens or reflector – to control the shape and direction of the light beam. The design of the optical element affects the way the light is distributed, and so affects the efficiency of the LED. The comparatively narrow beam angle of some LED lamps reflects their additional processing in producing the desired light shape. Conclusion
In conclusion, SSP-1156B156U12 is a powerful LED lamp with numerous advantages over traditional lighting sources. It has a rated power of 12W and a luminous flux of 1250lm, and is suitable for replacing 50W incandescent lamps, 40W tungsten halogen lamps and other conventional lighting sources. It produces light via an electroluminescence process, whereby electrons migrating from one type of semiconductor material fill electron holes in the other to produce photons. The optical design of SSP-1156B156U12 enables it to project a focused beam of white light to its desired location, making it a great replacement for traditional lighting sources. The specific data is subject to PDF, and the above content is for reference
