When a voltage is applied to the gate, the electric field created moves the charges between the source and the drain. This results in current flowing through the device.When the SST24V switch is in its OFF state, no current is flowing through the MOSFET. However, when the switch is turned ON, the gate will induce a certain Charge Inversion Angle (CIA) which forces the source and drain to form an electric channel, allowing current to flow between them.To ensure that the SST24V switch will operate reliably and accurately, the MOSFET parameters must be carefully optimized. This optimization process includes adjusting the CIA (to ensure a consistent current flow), adjusting the input impedance (to ensure voltage accuracy and regulation), and adjusting the output impedance (to ensure power integrity).In short, SST24V is a highly efficient DC-DC switching regulator designed for a wide range of applications. It is designed to provide a reliable, accurate output voltage even under high load conditions.
