Design and features

The SSV66A200E1GP is designed with stainless steel housing and a polypropylene float. It has a standard 0.25 inch NPT fitting for mounting, and an adjustable stem length between 4.7 and 6.5 inches. It is equipped with a PT100 RTD as a temperature sensor and is compatible with a variety of pressure sensing elements. It also offers a detection range of 0 to 4 hours required for critical applications. Furthermore, it has an overload capacity up to 10 times the usual load.

Operation

The level sensor works on the principle of buoyancy. The floating element is weighted at one end and has an adjustable stem in the middle which is mounted at the top of the vessel. The float is designed to remain at an even level with the water surface. As the level of the liquid inside the tank changes, the average time taken for the float to reach the water surface or the bottom of the tank will also change. This helps in measuring the liquid level inside the tank.
