The ST-0800-BCB-STD is a type of Gas Discharge Tube Arrester with a voltage rating of 800V, used to shield electrical equipment from voltage surges. The ST-0800-BCB-STD arrester is most commonly used in overhead Power Distribution networks, to protect against lightning induced over voltages. It features a lightning current ratings from 70kA to 120kA and a total current capacity of 200A.The working principle of the ST-0800-BCB-STD is to divert surge energy away from vulnerable equipment.
