The ST8R00DEMOBO9 is evaluation board designed to provide power engineers a comprehensive solution for the design and evaluation of offline SMPS, AC/DC and DC/DC. It is a highly integrated platform consisting of advanced controller ICs, switches, external components and reference designs.

ST8R00DEMOBO9 evaluation board has diverse applications to design offline switching power supplies. It provides a wide range of advantages related to studying, simulating and designing different topologies. Its features includes LED controlled outputs, auto-start or push-button mode, control-and-power supply of the gate voltage, bias controls, short circuit protection, DIP switch actuation for input/output and temperature control.

The DC/ DC converter allows both step-down and boost type of topology. When designing DC/DC converters with stepped-down topology, ST8R00DEMOBO9 board is used to convert DC input voltage into a lower DC output voltage using a transistor switch as the main element. ST8R00DEMOBO9 board is used to provide high efficiency and precise output voltage regulation. The AC/DC converter provides high efficiency at low input voltages. It is used for applications that require low power AC/DC converters. It is an ideal choice for solar energy conversion.
