The STA2165N2 employs an Audio Management Switch (AMS), which allows designers to select the optimal method of data service to deliver audio data from the application processor to the Audio System Processor. The AMS facilitates data exchanges between the two processors with the perfect execution of the application’s audio effects.

To achieve maximum performance, the STA2165N2 employs two 24-bit / 192kHz, 1.2GHz audio digital signal processors. The two core processors work in tandem to provide a total of 3.2BILLIONS of instructions per second, providing one of the most powerful and advanced audio processing capabilities.

The STA2165N2\'s low power audio processor system is designed to reduce power dissipation in highly-integrated audio designs running on extremely low-cost and power-optimized MCUs. It supports both Abstraction Layer and Low-Level DSP function calls.
