Working Principle
The STM6519APARUB6F uses the integrated circuit (IC) protection principle to provide overvoltage protection for loads up to 6A. Its overvoltage protection circuit consists of an N-type MOSFET (NMOS) and adjustable current limiting circuit. The adjustable current limiting circuit allows the user to set the desired overvoltage protection level according to the system requirements. Upon sensing an overvoltage, the NMOS will turn on immediately, thus disabling the current path and protecting the load.
The device also provides monitoring of multiple input voltages. The monitoring circuit is composed of a Comparator, a Band-Gap reference, and an A/D converter. The A/D converter converts the analog signal to digital values, depending on the voltage range of each channel.
