STV5348

STV5348 is an integrated multimedia encoding and decoding device designed by STMicroelectronics. Working Principle: STV5348 uses the Low Complexity Enhancement (LCE) architecture to convert different video formats. The LCE works by using an advanced algorithm which compresses the video and audio data prior to conversion. Then, the LCE algorithm divides the data frames into smaller blocks and encodes them individually to preserve the original resolution. Finally, the LCE algorithm will recompress all of the blocks together, by using the same quality control algorithms employed during the sole encoding/decoding process, to produce a single output file.
