The working principle of SU3D10UC is based on the electro-thermal trip mechanism. Its internal wiring system is composed of the following components: a main contact, an auxiliary contact and an arcing contact. When the current passes through the main contact, a electromagnet will be energized due to the residual current. The core of the electromagnet is connected to a free moving tripping arm. Once the tripping arm gets to certain position, the auxiliary contact and the arcing contact will interfere and disconnect the circuit quickly.

The key feature of the SU3D10UC is the adjustable tripper, which can be adjusted to the given value. The interval time of tripper can also be adjusted by selecting a normal open or normal close contact. This breaker is designed with multiple circuit breakers in a single unit, providing flexibility for an automated system.
