SY10ELT28KI logic translators and level shifters are designed to translate between logic levels of two different supply voltages. They offer electrical characteristics that meet the EIA/TIA-572-A, TSB-36, GR-1089-CORE Class B specifications. This device helps to protect a logic circuit from overvoltage conditions, such as when a system fails, by maintaining the output low, or when only one side of the system is powered. SY10ELT28KI devices are ideal for applications where dual voltage is used, such as DSP, memory and embedded processor-based systems.
SY10ELT28KI chips provide Asynchronous Inputs and Differential Inputs. The asynchronous inputs accept logic inputs from voltage levels which are different from the supply voltage of the device. The differential inputs are designed to transmit information over extended distances, even in noisy conditions. The supply voltage typically ranges from 3.3 V to 5 V, but can be adjusted to 10.5 V or 15 V in some applications.
When operating in asynchronous mode, the input levels need to be within the VIL & VIH range specified in the product data sheet. The output will remain in its last state when the device is not active. This can be useful in preventing any unintentional change in logic levels when the device is not active. When operating in differential mode, a differential voltage range is specified in the product data sheet, which needs to be maintained for proper functioning of the device.
The SY10ELT28KI level shifters are also designed with protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD) courses. They feature extremely low capacitance <50pF, making them suitable for use in high-speed applications, such as digital video broadcast (DVB) and digital audio broadcast (DAB). ESD protection up to 8KV Contact Discharge (ESD CD) and up to 2KV Human Body Model (ESD HBM) are offered by this device.
