Application Field of SY10H351JC

SY10H351JC is a voltage level translator with a dual supply which can be used to transmit logic signals between two different logic families. Working Principle of SY10H351JC

SY10H351JC is based on NMOS pass gate technology, which is a single-chip, low-power BiCMOS universal bus translator. The input data is latched by Direction Control Inputs (DIR0 and DIR1). The level translator is controlled by two logic inputs (DIR0, DIR1) which latch the data and define the direction where data is meant to pass.

When DIR0 is HIGH and DIR1 is LOW, the level translator acts as a TRANSMITTER, meaning that data on PortA is latched onto PortB. When DIR0 is LOW and DIR1 is HIGH, the level translator acts as a RECEIVER, meaning that data on PortB is latched onto PortA.

The bi-directional flow through the pass gate is enabled by two P-channel FETs. When DIR0 is HIGH and DIR1 is LOW, the Source of FET7 (SFET7) is connected to VCCA and the Drain of FET8 (DFET8) is connected to GNDB. This allows data from PortA to go through FET7 and be latched to PortB. When DIR0 is LOW and DIR1 is HIGH, the Source of FET8 (SFET8) is connected to VCCB and the Drain of FET7 (DFET7) is connected to GNDA. This allows data from PortB to go through FET8 and be latched to PortA.

The pass gates act as a bridge connecting PortA and PortB and the output voltage levels are determined by the level of VCCA and VCCB. Both VCCA and VCCB must be within the specified voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V.
