The SY58022UMG is a 3.3 V, 1-to-2 Differential High-Speed Clock Buffer with integrated termination intended for signal integrity applications. It is capable of repeating and distributing differential clock, data or signal up to 2.4 GHz, with a full enable/disable feature. This buffer driver has been designed to achieve high jitter reduction for clock and signal transmission, thereby extending system lifecycle and performance.
The SY58022UMG is designed with integrated on-die 125Ω differential pin-to-pin termination resistors and minimal signal loading, providing powerful signal conditioning features. This device features on-die Termination and level Conversion, making it ideal for clock and data/signal distribution. Very low Clock Skew (180ps) and High Isolation (8 dB) make this buffer driver ideal for a variety of applications where noise, signal integrity and clock skew are important design considerations.

Working Principle
The SY58022UMG consists of two-channel drivers for differential signals, with an integrated LPF for each output channel. This filtering achieves jitter performance with minimum signal loading. The buffer-drivers have a differential input format, allowing it to transmit and receive either clock or data signals with 50Ω differential parallel inputs. In addition, the device is driven with a 3.3V single-ended signal. This makes it compatible with popular logic and memory signals such as LVPECL, CML and LVDS.
The SY58022UMG is designed to reduce clock skew between outputs due to its low-skew architecture, providing more accurate and repeatable performance. The Clock Skew is typically less than 180ps (maximum 200ps), making it a reliable solution for high-speed differential clock, data and signal transmission. This makes the driver ideal for minimal or no redundancy applications. Finally, the device utilizes a low power shutdown mode to minimize power consumption when the outputs are inactive.
