- Application Field
- T34E01406 is a barrier block type terminal block manufactured by TE Connectivity (TE). It is VDE approved and rated for distribution system of rated voltage up to 1000V AC and rated current up to 63A. It is suitable for use in industrial control, automation, and power distribution systems.
- It is available in pitch size of 5.08mm and various pin numbers from 3pin to 10pin. One of its key features is its multiple stackable feature which allows it to be used in various wiring configurations.
- Working Principle
- The barrier blocks are connected and operated by a voltage supplied by the source. The power flow through the terminal blocks is regulated according to the amount of voltage supplied. The electrical connection between the blocks is made using hexagonal screws and molded-in terminals.
- The molded-in terminals are designed to prevent short circuits, while the hexagonal screws are designed to ensure a tight connection at the point of contact, thus reducing the risk of electrical shock. Once connected, the connection is then secured through the use of a safe terminal block guard which ensures that the connections remain secure even in the event of mechanical stress being applied.
