Tantalum Capacitors
T495X227M010ATE050 is a type of tantalum capacitors. A tantalum capacitor is a type of electrolytic capacitor, which is a type of capacitor that employs an electrolyte to achieve a larger capacitance per volume than other types. Working Principle
The T495X227M010ATE050 operates on the principle of the reverse breakdown of an oxide layer formed on the surface of the anode. When the anode is connected to the positive pole of a voltage source, the oxide layer forms a junction between the anode and the electrolyte and is thus able to store electric energy in the form of electric field. This electric field increases as the voltage increases, causing the oxide layer to break down and allowing current to flow through the capacitor.
In addition, the electrolyte involved in the circuit is able to carry current between the anode and the cathode and thus is capable of decreasing the internal impedance of the capacitor. This enables the T495X227M010ATE050 to maintain performance in high voltage AC and DC applications. Also, the increased capacitance of the capacitor due to the increased voltage can be used in applications requiring large capacitive energy storage.
