Tantalum-polymer capacitors (also known as Ta-polymer capacitors) are a type of capacitor developed for small electronics applications, such as consumer electronics and automotive electronics. They are typically composed of a layer of tantalum and a layer of polymer encapsulated in a molded plastic case.
