Tantalum capacitors make use of the ability of tantalum to form an oxide layer on their surface when in contact with oxygen. This layer acts as a dielectric and allows capacitors to operate in environments with high humidity and temperatures while still offering good reliability and a high level of electrical performance. T55B476M6R3C0150 is one such tantalum - polymer capacitor commonly used across a vast range of applications.

The T55B476M6R3C0150 is typically used to provide greater decoupling in low RDSon DC-DC converters. These capacitors have a high capacitance to volume ratio and very low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) so they can handle fast transients such as switching noise with ease, making them an excellent choice for many types of applications.

The T55B476M6R3C0150 capacitors are constructed from a combination of polymer, tantalum and organic binders, which are then encapsulated in a molded epoxy case, making them suitable for operation in most standard environmental conditions, including temperatures up to 125C.
