T591D157M006ATE025 are tantalum-polymer capacitors which provide enhanced reliability, a variety of polymerized dielectrics and advanced molding technology that ensures improved performance characteristics and low equivalent series resistance. The tantalum-polymer capacitor is an electrolytic type capacitor, primarily composed of a pure tantalum anode body, a liquid dielectric, and an anode lead-out wire. The liquid dielectric is an organic compound that acts as an electrical insulator between the anode and the lead-out wire. The anode lead-out wire, sometimes referred to as the capacitor’s ‘electrolyte’, allows current to flow from the anode to the terminal in the external circuitry. It also acts as a conductor to carry this current. It could be made either with a metal or polymer cathode lead-out wire.

Due to its low effective series resistance (ESR), high equivalent series inductance (ESL), low temperature coefficient and superior self-healing ability, the tantalum-polymer capacitor is an ideal choice for applications that require high capacitance-to-size ratio and low power consumption from a relatively small component. The component can be used for signal filtering, bypassing and decoupling in applications such as automotive electronics, telecom, and consumer electronics.

In addition to providing high ESR and low ESL, the molding technology used in the T591D157M006ATE025 also allows for low-profile components with a high capacitance. It is available in the surface mount or through-hole mounting style. Its rated voltage range is 0.2V to 6.3V and its typical capacitance range is 10μF to 100μF.
