Tantalum - Polymer Capacitors (Ta-P) is one of the most popular solutions for many electronic applications. This type of capacitor has very low ESR, long lifecycle, and it’s stable operation. It’s also an alternative solution to tantalum electrolytic capacitors. Ta-P capacitors have different styles, shapes and packages, allowing them to be adapted to many applications, from consumer to industrial products. The Different Types of Ta-P Capacitors

This type of capacitor has a higher capacitance than single-layer and double-layer capacitors, providing a better ripple current rating and ESR curve control.
