Thyristors are a type of semiconductor component which are controlled by pulses of an applied current or voltage. T621F Working Principle

The T621F is composed of an SCR, a Triac and a resistive element. The SCR is connected between the power input and output terminals and the Triac between the power output and ground. The resistive element is externally connected and is used to control the current and power through the SCR and Triac. The SCR and Triac are capable of conducting and blocking current in both directions and can be used to switch power from the input to the output.

The module uses a current or voltage pulse to gate the SCR and Triac into conduction. This gate pulse needs to be provided to the module for it to operate and switch power from the input to the output. The gate pulse needs to exceed a certain voltage or current level to trigger the SCR and Triac into conduction. Once the conduction is triggered, a small amount of residual current is required to maintain the conduction state. The conduction and blocking of the SCR and Triac can be controlled by the external resistive element which regulates the current and power through it.
