The T95X156K010CSSL is a low-voltage dual-layer surface-mount capacitor manufactured using a proprietary TaOx/NbO ceramic dielectric material, and it is most frequently used in applications requiring high reliability and long-life stability. It has an operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C and a maximum DC voltage rating of 10V. It is also available in standard and reverse-mounted configurations.

Working Principle:

The TaOx/NbO dielectric material used to distinguish this type of capacitor stores electrical energy in the form of an electric field, much like other types of capacitors. When a voltage is applied across the terminals, a proportion of the charges on the capacitor plates flows to the other plate, and a roughly constant electrical potential difference (or “plate voltage”) is maintained. The stored energy is held as long as the voltage across the plates does not change. However, when the voltage changes, some of the stored energy is released.

The T95X156K010CSSL has an extremely low self-discharge rate, making it suitable for high-resistance, high-frequency, or high-impedance circuits where charging and discharging occurs frequently. Since this capacitor stores energy proportionally to the surface area of the capacitor plates, it is physically smaller than other types of capacitors, yet still produces the same amount of capacitance.
