The TA8-11 series contactors are mainly used in power distribution and control of 3-phase AC motors, especially suitable for the star-delta starting of motors. TA8-11 series contactors are suitable for AC50HZ/60Hz voltage up to 690V and the rated working current up to 185A. The contactors are suitable for AC-3 420kW, AC-4 250kW and AC-5 100kW applications.

Working principle of TA8-11 series contactors is that, when the coil has the voltage, the electromagnetic coil will energized and generate a strong electromagnetic force, which will attracts the moving core into the working position. The moving core is arranged in the middle of the contactors, and it will be attracted by the electromagnetic force generated by the coil to the working position. So the contactors are connected and the power supply is connected to the connected loads. When the voltage from the coil is off, the electromagnetic force disappears, and the spring force will force the moving core to reset position. So the contactors will be disconnected and the power supply to the connected load will be cut off.
