Tantalum capacitors can be divided into two categories, solid and wet-slug types. TACR336M003X belongs to the former type. It is a molded solid electrolytic chip capacitor, which is constructed of two high purity with tantalum pentoxide anode, an anodized aluminum cathode with binder, a dielectric layer, and internal electrodes; coated with a resin to form the tantalum chip capacitor. Working Principle

The chemistry of the TACR336M003X capacitor is designed around the valence of tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5) and micro-arc-oxidation (MAO). Its layered structure is composed of two distinct layers, the capacitor’s anode layer and the protective layer of anodized aluminum. The former layer is composed of tantalum pentoxide, which is an oxide with a good chemical and thermal stability, exhibiting a good dielectric property.
