Tantalum capacitors, also known as tantalum electrolytic capacitors, are capacitors that use tantalum as the anode material. They are the most prominent type of electrolytic capacitor, a form of capacitor that uses an electrolyte between two electrically conductive plates (anode and cathode) to provide an electric charge in the form of a static electric field.
