A tantalum capacitor is an electronic component, consisting of a pellet of tantalum metal as an anode, covered by an insulating oxide layer and surrounded by a conductive cathode, usually a metal. The small size and lightweight of tantalum capacitors make them perfect for use in a wide range of electronics, including RF designs, clock oscillators and dc-to-dc converters. Primarily used as a component of tuning circuits and high frequency filters, TAJR156M004RNJ is a surface mountable, non-polarized device, designed to provide cost effective, high quality and reliable performance.
