Temperature sensors, also known as thermistor sensors or Thermistors, are designed to measure temperature and are available in both analog and digital output types. TC1046VNBTR is a temperature sensor with analog and digital outputs that can be used to measure a variety of temperatures accurately. Its Working principle is based on the principle of negative temperature coefficient or NTC.
NTC thermistors are made of sensitive semiconductor materials that react to changes in temperature, and therefore, the resistance of the thermistor to temperature changes. The thermistor’s resistance changes inversely with temperature, which means that the resistance of the thermistor decreases as the temperature increases. This property of the thermistor makes it ideal for use in temperature sensing and regulating systems.
The TC1046VNBTR temperature sensor combines the small size and excellent accuracy of an NTC thermistor, with amplified linear analog outputs. It also provides a digital output for use with microcontroller systems. It features a B class accuracy, offset and temperature coefficient adjustments and outstanding temperature stability and reliability.
The analogue output and/or digital output from the temperature sensor can be interfaced to a central processing unit (CPU) such as a microcontroller, microprocessor, or programmable logic controller (PLC). The CPU can then be programmed to take certain actions in response to an increase or decrease in the temperature measured by the sensor. For example, if the temperature rises beyond a certain threshold, the CPU can be programmed to turn on a cooling fan or take other similar actions.
The TC1046VNBTR temperature sensor is used in many applications. It is used in air conditioner air handling units, medical fridges, climate control systems, data center racks, cooling systems, vending machines, tunnels and refrigeration systems among others. It is also used in industrial applications such as hot runners, plastic injection molding, thermoforming, and other environments where precise temperature control is required.
