Working Principle

The TC1270LERCTR is designed to monitor the power supply to the system and provide a reset signal whenever the power supply fails or drops to an unacceptable level. It features an input voltage range of +1.65V to +5.5V, an operating temperature range of -40C to +85C, and an under-voltage detection capability of 2.7V. The device also features a timer will trigger a reset whenever the supply voltage is below a certain threshold for a certain period of time. It also contains a watchdog timer which will trigger a reset whenever the system is not updated with a certain period of time. The reset output can be delayed for up to 300ms to avoid any false trips.

The TC1270LERCTR also includes an active-high enable pin which can be used to prevent the reset from activating. There are open drain outputs for both the reset and enable signals, allowing a maximum of three external devices to be connected to the device. It also includes an external reset and disable input. An external capacitor can also be connected to the device to extend the output delay time.
