The TC1313-1H0EUNTR is designed to provide a high efficiency linear + switching voltage regulation solution for applications like smartphones, tablets and notebook PCs. It is a step-down switching regulator with selectable output current up to 1.5A. It also has a dual-mode linear regulator with output current up to 500mA to improve light load efficiency. The output voltage of the TC1313-1H0EUNTR can be adjusted from 0.8V to 4.3V. This makes it ideal for several applications that require multiple voltage rails or adjustable voltage outputs. It is also pin compatible with the TC1310A-1H0DTIN package, so it can be used as a drop-in replacement to help reduce system design costs.Working Principle of TC1313-1H0EUNTR
The TC1313-1H0EUNTR is a high efficiency linear + switching voltage regulator that consists of a Step-Down Switching (SDS), Linear Regulator (LDO) with dual-mode support, Internal Over Current Protection (OCP), and an Adjustable & Fixed Output Voltage (FV) Generator. The SDS section in the TC1313-1H0EUNTR is responsible for the high efficiency voltage regulation. It consists of an input voltage detector, switch, and inductor. The input voltage detector detects the input voltage and selects the appropriate reference voltage for the control loop. The switch is then used to control the flow of current through the inductor. The output voltage is regulated by the adjustment of the duty cycle of the switch. This is done by varying the on and off times of the switch based on the reference voltage set by the input voltage detector. The LDO section in the TC1313-1H0EUNTR helps to improve the light load efficiency. It consists of a bipolar operational amplifier and a pass transistor. The polarity of the output voltage is set by the non-inverting input of the operational amplifier. The pass transistor is then used to control the current flow from the input to the output based on the reference voltage set by the output voltage adjustment pin.
