TCAN1051VDRBTQ1 is an advanced transceiver that is designed to facilitate automotive interfaces. It is empowered by an innovative architecture that allows it to be used in both softhardware and firmware applications. It is mainly used in automotive applications in vehicles including electric, hybrid, fuel cell and electromechanical systems. It also provides an interface for a variety of serial communication protocols, allowing for easy data exchange between the microcontroller and other external components.

The TCAN1051VDRBTQ1 transceiver offers both aphysical anddata layer interface enabling easy integration of various automotive communication protocols. It provides a total of two data layers consisting of a majority-redundant CAN (Controller Area Network) layer in addition to a UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) layer. In order to protect the data layer from external disturbances,the TCAN1051VDRBTQ1 is designed with 5 layers of shielding which minimize the susceptibility to external disturbances and allow for an exchangedata rate up to 1 Mbps.

The TCAN1051VDRBTQ1 transceiver incorporatesseveral features that provide flexible communication between devices. This includes a built-in watchdogfunction that can be used to monitor the data layer, detect stuck nodes and monitor the communication status.
