The TCAN332GDCNR is a greatly efficient device used in automotive and industrial applications. It is a small 8 pin device that has the ability to meet the stringent requirements of time-critical networks. In sleep mode, the device consumes up to 0.02 mA and will automatically enter this mode if there is no communication for a certain period of time. The sleep and wake up times of the device is at most 3µs and 5µs, respectively. Additionally, the chip integrates an output-enable pin that is used to disable the driver outputs and reduce power consumption.

The power supply of the TCAN332GDCNR is single supply and incorporates two power supplies: VDD and VCC. VDD is the power supply for the logic signal, while VCC is the power supply for the transceiver module. The specifications of this device enable function over an extended temperature range from -40°C to +85°C without any degradation. In addition, the 11 bit CAN identifier ensures superior performance in long networks, by improving the data transmission rate, compared to the 8 bit of the standard CAN.
