Working Principle

This device operates with a dual alternating frequency of 20 kHz and 30 kHz, in order to reduce the switching losses associated with the PWM signal. The signal is applied to the differential positive and negative input pins to control the output signal. This signal is regulated by the high frequency pulse width modulated signal, which is generated by the combination of the two high frequency signals.
The output voltage is regulated by two series connected MOSFETs (Metal Oxide Field Effect Transistors) that act as a switch, allowing the signal to pass through when the PWM signal is applied. This signal is then amplified by five high voltage bipolar audio output transistors, before finally being converted into a low impedance output signal. The output of the chip is protected by a slew rate limiting circuit that limits the rate of change of the output signal in order to prevent the chip from becoming damaged by overvoltage or an unexpected spike in output power.
