Audio Special PurposeThe TDA7442D is an audio processor dedicated to car radio, car CD and home HiFi applications. It is a low cost, high performance monolithic dual audio processor, designed for sound control, signal processing, and noise control applications in the car audio industry. The physical package is a 40-pin DIP package. It is the ideal audio processing companion for the popular TDA7440 and TDA7441 device. The device has two independent channels with a single voltage regulator and crystal oscillator. Each channel is provided with a differential or single-ended input (default setting must be done using a SPI bus) and a low-impedance single-ended output.The TDA7442D is designed to combine a broad range of features with a low-cost and high-performance solution in mind that makes it the ideal device for car audio applications. It features independent analog gain programmable control and provides an independent volume and balance control per channel. It includes a 7-line serial bus bus interface that provides access to the ACS712 current sensor input.Moreover, in terms of signal processing and noise control features, the TDA7442D features a loudness control, treble and bass control, up to our Line Output Selector and Source with four individual output attenuation settings.In summary, the TDA7442D provides an advanced, low-cost and high-performance solution for car radio and car CD applications.
