DC DC Converters

DC-DC converters are used to transform the DC voltage to a required level. A particular type of converter is TDR 3-2413, a wide input voltage range device characterized by its high-efficiency, low-conductive noise and high power density. This type of converter is used in applications such as electronic motor control, automotive control and industrial control applications.

The DC-DC converter technology has evolved over the years since its invention in the 1950s. TDR 3-2413 is a high-efficiency, low-conductive noise, PFC and active parallel regulator featuring wide input voltage range. It features an optimized power density of up to 1,000 W/in3 with an efficiency of up to 96%. The converter’s wide input voltage range allows for flexible battery operation both in single cell Li-ion batteries and multi-cell Li-ion batteries.

The converter has adjustable output voltage and current. It has a high slew rate, and fast response time. In addition, it features adjustable input and output voltage level, protection against current over-load, switching failure, under-voltage lockout, over-temperature shutdown and a built-in gate driver.

The unique design of the TDR 3-2413 allows for multiple outputs to be used in a single converter for higher levels of power delivery, or distribution. The device is also capable of synchronizing its output with a coil or an external pulse signal when required. This is mostly done to prevent any potential error from taking place in the system\'s synchronization.

Working Principle

The TDR 3-2413 is based on traditional converter circuits and levels of integration. It consists of two parts, a DC input stage and an AC output stage. The DC input stage receives the input voltage and converts it into an appropriate voltage with a minimum voltage difference between the output and the input.
