The TEA2261 is a pulse width modulation (PWM) controller consisting of a fully-integrated control circuit with a high voltage source self oscillator and thermal protection circuit. It is designed to offer an economical solution for a range of low, medium and high power application fields requiring cost and space savings. Working Principle

With improved PWM solutions and high switching frequency, both the MOSFETs can be used with an internal PWM signal and no external components needed. The PWM output is compared with an internal voltage reference and this sets the duty cycle according to the reference voltage.

The TEA2261 also includes an over current protection feature which senses the current in the output winding and sets a reference voltage. This voltage is compared with the voltage generated by the sense resistor in the H-bridge circuit, and if this exceeds the reference voltage, the device turns off the low side MOSFET.
