Thermoelectric modules, often referred to as Peltier modules, are solid state heat-pumps. Unlike conventional compressors, they have no moving parts and generate no vibration or noise. Instead, they use semiconductor junctions to move heat from one side of the module to the other, resulting in a cooling or heating effect. Thermal Peltier Modules, such as the TG12-6-01L, are popular in a wide range of applications.

The TG12-6-01L is a single stage, 2-wire (SPU) thermoelectric module that features an outer finned heat sink.
