THL3512 Working Principle

The THL3512 is based on a buck switching converter with PWM dimming control. The device consists of an integrated power management system that consists of an input power supply, main power switch, current sensing resistors, output current regulation circuitry, and the PWM dimming control. The device can be programmed to deliver up to 1000mA of output current proportional to the voltage level at the PWM input pin.

The input power supply is supplied with an external DC voltage, which is then stepped down through the main power switch in order to provide the necessary output current.
