The THS4502EVM is an example of an evaluation board developed to evaluate and characterize the THS4502, an analog, precision, high-speed, low-power operational amplifier integrated circuit from Texas Instruments Inc. (TI).

The THS4502EVM evaluation board measures and characterizes the THS4502 device. The board is designed to provide all the common test conditions for the THS4502 in an easy-to-use system. The THS4502EVM uses the proprietary switch mode feedback circuitry of the THS4502 to achieve high performance. Multiple gain bandwidth options that have been pre-programmed into the board provide testing flexibility. The three choosable user-selectable gain options are: unity (1), 10X, and 100X. These options are convenient as they can quickly be adjusted without the need to replace any components.

The board includes the necessary components to set the power supply voltages, and a (2) 9V battery as the supply voltage. The included on-board power supply regulates the voltage to 5V and 4.7V, depending upon the needed tests. The user-configurable supply options provide the user with the ability to quickly change the power supply voltage depending on the application, making the THS4502EVM a good choice for low-voltage op-amp designs.

The board has a wide range of outputs for testing the THS4502 device. A variety of ports are available for a variety of test connections, including logic and analog signals.
