<p>THS7360EVM is an evaluation module (EVM) for Texas Instruments (TI) THS7360 video surround sound processor. The module combines TI’s proven digital video (DV) and surround sound technologies to maximize the consumer’s entertainment experience. The THS7360EVM application field and its working principle make it a perfect choice for a wide range of applications, such as audio / video receivers, home theater systems, automotive audio systems, and even broadcast HDTV systems.</p><p>The THS7360EVM provides a straight- forward solution for system designers who require a complete and user-friendly platform for evaluating the various features and capabilities of TI’s THS7360 video surround sound processor. The EVM includes all the necessary hardware, reference designs, and user-friendly software for testing and optimizing the operations of the THS7360 processor.</p><p>The audio core of the THS7360EVM is based on the Texas Instruments TMS320C55 processor. The TMS320C55 processor features four DSP cores, four 32-bit accumulators, and a robust instruction set. It offers high performance audio processing, including signal-to-noise ratios of up to 90dB and a wide frequency range of up to 200kHz. The THS7360EVM also features the latest Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound decoding technology, which provides unprecedented surround sound capabilities with crystal clear audio reproduction. Additionally, the platform supports 7.1-channel audio output with discrete LFE output, enabling the possibility of balanced and intuitive multichannel audio playback.</p><p>The THS7360EVM is also highly customizable in both hardware and software. Utilizing TI\'s Code Composer Studio (CCS) integrated development platform, the THS7360EVM can be easily configured for real-time processing of digital audio and video data. Furthermore, the THS7360EVM offers designers the ability to quickly and easily create custom audio, video, and graphics processing algorithms, thanks to the integrated THS7360 sound control registers as well as the embedded TMS320C55 processor.</p><p>In order to take full advantage of the THS7360EVM\'s integrated capabilities, the TXS7360EVM evaluation board also includes a number of reference designs and user-friendly software packages. This includes audio and video coding routines, Windows / SAPI-compatible applications, and a RTOS-compatible real-time operating system (RTOS) for powering audio/video processors. Additionally, the board includes the most recent metrology and test fixtures for testing audio/video signals and the audio/video hardware.</p><p>The THS7360EVM is an ideal platform for evaluating the features and performance levels of TI’s THS7360 video surround sound processor.
