Optoisolators are protection and isolation devices which are used for communication and control systems that require electrical isolation between two circuits. A common example of an optocoupler is the TIL113M-V, a photovoltaic output transistor based optoisolator.

The TIL113M-V is a 4-pin optocoupler package designed with both a LED light source and a phototransistor output. The device is designed to achieve a voltage withstand of 10kV/s and a transmission speed of 1000 kHz.
