TL-Q5MB15-3

Working Principle

The TL-Q5MB15-3 operates with an alternating current (AC) coil and works on the principle of inductive sensing. The switch is mounted on the object to be monitored and uses an internal oscillator to generate an electromagnetic field. When an object is detected within the sensing range, the field of the electronic switch is disturbed and the switch is activated. The TL-Q5MB15-3 has a range of up to 50 mm and a switching current of up to 250 measurements per second, or 50 Hz. It also boasts an adjustable repeat accuracy of 20 – 40%.

The TL-Q5MB15-3 is a solid-state proximity sensor, designed to detect objects in a non-contact manner. The sensor can detect metal and non-metal objects and is powered by a wide supply voltage of 10 – 30 VDC. The sensor offers excellent protection features; its sensing field is immune to noise and vibration which makes it suitable for industrial applications.

The TL-Q5MB15-3 has a wide range of adjustable features, including sensitivity, repeat trigger frequency, output delay, and power indication. The switch can also be connected in series or parallel with other switches. It can be directly connected to a PLC, DCS or any other controller module.
