The TLK10002EVM can be programmed to operate in three different modes: single-ended, NRZ (Non-Return-to-Zero Encoding), and dual-mode: differential. The differential mode uses a differential channel model that minimizes transmitted ISI (Inter-Symbol Interference) and enables it to deliver full-featured operation. The board can also be operated with a reduced speed of 6 Gb/s or single-ended with a bandwidth of 5 Gb/s.
The TLK10002EVM also includes an easy-to-use power supply module. This module includes accessories, such as the power adapter and output cables, so that the board can be powered from a single or dual 5 V supply. Additionally, the board has a built-in PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation) generator for controlling the transceiver’s clock and data recovery outputs, enabling users to generate accurately modulated signals in the form of NRZ, pseudo-random, Manchester, bi-phase, MLT-3, and pulse-width encoded waveforms.
