TLV2774IN put forward by Texas Instruments is a low voltage, rail-to-rail, single operational amplifier produced with the BiCMOS technology. This operational amplifier is suitable for use in battery operated systems and still delivers an outstanding performance. It has an input voltage range of up to 7V above or below the common voltage, a single power supply voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V and an output voltage range of 0V to the positive rail when a low load resistance is applied.

In instrumentation applications, the TLV2774IN can be used in signal conditioning applications such as converting 4-20mA current loop signals to voltage signal, data acquisition applications such as for temperature, pressure and flow measuring instruments, signal amplification applications such as for medical imaging systems and signal generation applications such as for signal generators, e.g. low frequency signals or pulse trains.
As far as its working principle is concerned, the TLV2774IN is basically an inverting amplifier. It amplifies the input signal by applying negative feedback. This is accomplished by connecting the output signal to the inverting input terminal of the amplifier. The value of feedback is determined by the impedance of Rf which is usually a variable resistor. The output voltage of the amplifier is produced when the output signal is inverted and phase shifted by 180 degrees. This phase shift transforms the noise signals into positive signals, which are then amplified by the amplifier.
The TLV2774IN also offers good common-mode rejection ratio, which reduces the errors arising from noise and offsets originating from the input signal. It consists of two separate sections, an inverting amplifier and a buffer amplifier. The inverting amplifier operates in the closed-loop configuration, which helps to reduce noise and improve signal fidelity. The buffer amplifier is used to drive loads which require high currents. It provides high output current and low output impedance, which is essential for signal conditioning applications.
