The TMOV34S201MP belongs to a family of TVS - Varistors, MOVs. It is a Bi-directional transient suppressor designed for protection against voltage transients caused by lightning and/or other destructive voltage transients in systems up to 1100 volts. Furthermore, this series of devices are long-term discharge and recharge-resistant.

The TMOV34S201MP has an operating voltage range of 12-41 volts. It is a two phase device with one phase activating in < 20 nanoseconds and another in <100 nanoseconds. The maximum peak pulse current for one phase is a staggering 16A and 20A peak current for the second phase.
