Temperature Sensors are electronic components which measure the temperature of an area and provide a signal to a control device. Thermostats are devices which use the temperature sensors to regulate the temperature of the area. A Solid State Temperature Sensor is an electronic device which is activated by a solid state temperature sensing device such as a diode or thermistor. The TMP303FDRLT temperature sensor is one such device.
The TMP303FDRLT temperature sensor is used in a variety of applications such as monitoring temperatures in industrial processes, regulating refrigeration temperature and as an input for monitor systems. It is a precision temperature sensor designed for use in various challenging field applications. The device is a 3 terminal SOT-23 package with an extremely low power draw, high accuracy and fast response time. It also has a low operating voltage and is able to operate in both 3.0V and 5.0V power supplies.
The device is designed to measure temperatures from -55°C to +150°C with a range of 0.5°C accuracy. The sensor is operated by a single chip integrated circuit with an adaptive temperature compensation which provides a rapid and reliable temperature reading. The chip and package are fully compatible with industrial temperatures and are able to survive a wide range of temperature extremes. The device has an internal temperature sensor which is connected to the terminal pins on the SOT-23 package.
The internal circuitry of the device includes a range of components such as a voltage regulator, an amplifier, analog to digital converter and a programmable logic unit.
