The TMPG06-20-E3/73 is a uni-directional, bidirectional and thyristor surge protection device (SPD) with an operating temperature range from -55℃ to +125℃. It has a maximum surge energy of 20A up to 8µs and a breakdown voltage of 73V.
The primary function of a TVS diode is to protect devices by preventing destructive voltage transients from entering it. This is achieved by diverting any transient voltage that could potentially harm the device.
