TPS2011DR

A TPS2011DR is an integrated low-side power distribution switch andload driver, which is manufactured and sold by Texas Instruments(TI). It is applicable in automotive and industrial systems, wherehigh current and multiple loads have to be managed. A TPS2011DRintegrates two power FETs for immediate serving of multiple loads.The device also provides diagnostic and protection features. Its typicalapplications include door modules, tail lamp load switches andother load-interfacing circuits.

The TPS2011DR power distribution switch consists of themanufacturer’s GROEPFET structures, which feature silicongates with highly capacitive charge pump, eliminating the needfor external components. Additionally, an integrated body diodeand ESD protective diode is featured to enhance protection.

The TPS2011DR uses two operational amplifiers to provide overvoltage, undervoltage and overtemperature detection, as well as,high-side current sensing input to monitor faults due to high-sideload or an existing ground fault. The TPS2011DR provides anexternal capacitor to set the insertion delays.

The TPS2011DR power distribution switch integrates the TI\'sBQ242x-Q1 charge pump, uses CDM ESD protection andprovides adjustable voltage limits for overvoltage andundervoltage detection. The device also ensures a tightcurrent-limit area and allows the load current to beaccurately measured.

The TPS2011DR works on a 3V to 14V voltage range andfeatures a wide range of operating temperatures. It canoperate in PWM, PCM and PDN mode, and supports highcurrent that can reach up to 20A.
