Working Principle of TPS2104D

The TPS2104D is based on the principles of OR controllers, ideal diodes, and current-limited output stages. It can be used to implement advanced power distribution topologies such as rail-to-rail sequencing, sequencing with standby, input over-voltage protection, and boost-converter over-current protection.

The device also provides load response control (LRC), which works as follows: When the load current increases, the device reduces its output voltage, reducing the current. If the load current continues to increase, the device shuts down its output.
